ABOUT OUR PROJECT

The IDEAS4WOMEN project aims to promote digital literacy and industry-related skills in disadvantaged communities in Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Greece, particularly among underemployed women in rural areas. The project seeks to train socially excluded and vulnerable women in four or more topics related to essential skills and technologies, including soft and digital skills. In order to achieve this, areas where vulnerable women need help through qualitative and quantitative research will be identified. The training will take place from 01/10/2023 to 01/11/2024 and will be available through hybrid/blended learning. The project will develop multilingual educational material adapted for physical and hybrid learning and create an online platform to host the educational content for at least two years after the project ends. Moreover, IDEAS4WOMEN will engage industry and academia stakeholders to gather insights and identify training topics, and the content will be decided collaboratively. Additionally, the project will conduct face-to-face and online workshops in three countries and train 5-10 participants per topic per country, as well as promote collaboration between consortium organizations and relevant stakeholders and gather feedback to improve the material. Overall, the IDEAS4WOMEN project seeks to address the slow progress of digital literacy in rural areas and improve the digital skills and employment prospects of underemployed women in disadvantaged communities.

The IDEAS4WOMEN project includes the following activities:

  • Project website and social media presence: IDEAS4WOMEN will use a website and social media accounts to promote, and update interested parties about the project’s activities, events, and workshops.
  • Set up – Online educational platform: The project will create a Hybrid/Online Learning Platform ( class365.eu ), which will host all educational material developed by the partners in an appropriate format. The platform will be available for at least two years after the project finishes to maximize impact.
  • Activities related to the identification of areas along with participants and focus topics: The project will engage industry and academia stakeholders to gather insights and identify training topics. They will also identify potential trainees and professional organizations for feedback.
  • Development of the educational and training material: IDEAS4WOMEN will develop educational material on various topics for women in electronic and printed formats, including the LMS system, and will be adaptable for hybrid/blended training. The content will be decided collaboratively, and feedback from women will be considered for updates. Hardware will be purchased if needed.
  • Training activities: NOVATEX will lead an 8–10-month training activity with all partners, conducting face-to-face and online workshops using the developed material in three countries. The goal is to train 5-10 participants per topic per country and promote educational material through an online platform to increase participation. Feedback will be collected during each session to improve the material, and workshops will be uploaded to the platform for remote learning.
